Die Struck
pins are made by cutting and image of your design into a
"die". Your image is then stamped on a sheet of copper or iron.
We commonly use copper because it is a softer metal which allows
for a sharper image. The cutting molds are made separately, and
the pins are cut out to the outline of the design shape. The
raised metal surfaces are then polished to a luster finish while
the recessed areas are left with a sandblasted or brushed look.
The most common plating for die struck pins is gold, but other
metal plating such as silver and black nickel are available
(color can be added to this type of process).
Each each pin is inspected to ensure only the highest
quality is individually packaged and sent to us for final
inspection. All pins are inspected twice before delivery - once
at the factory, and again by our support and sales staff before
shipping to the client.
